Job summary

Northwestern Medicine is seeking a Patient Service Representative to greet patients, verify identities, and manage front desk tasks for clinics and appointments. You will support registration, collect co-pays, and ensure accurate demographic and insurance information is captured.

In this role, you will handle check-in/out, scheduling, and end-of-day cash reconciliation while maintaining a welcoming environment for patients and guests. Strong customer service and accuracy are essential.

Qualifications

• Experience in a customer service position.
• Bilingual abilities are preferred.

Responsibilities

• Greets patients and guests, confirms identity and provides information related to visits.
• Completes check-in/out functions as directed.
• Updates patient demographics and insurance information.
• Completes patient registrations as needed.
• Obtains patient consents/authorizations.
• Collects co-pays, past due balances and point-of-service payments.
• Posts payments and processes billing information; performs end-of-day cash closing.
• Keeps waiting area clean and comfortable.
• Informs patients of delays or changes in appointment status.
• Schedules appointments as necessary.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
