Job summary

You will verify insurance, schedule procedures, process payments, and collaborate with EPIC system workflows while maintaining confidentiality and delivering high-quality customer service.

Qualifications

• Experience applying customer service behaviors and strong communication skills.
• Experience as registration receptionist preferred.
• Typing speed of 45 words per minute preferred.
• Knowledge of insurances helpful.

Responsibilities

• Obtain accurate demographic and insurance information for inpatient and outpatient services.
• Provide patient estimates and explanations of benefits to patients and guarantors.
• Process payments and assist patients with payments via welcome devices and personal devices.
• Verify insurance requirements and obtain authorizations/referrals as required.
• Utilize EPIC for documents, scanning insurance cards, and related forms.
• Maintain a safe, clean work area and communicate supply needs.
