WellSpan Health in York, PA is seeking a Patient Access/Registration professional to support inpatient admissions, registration, and kiosk-based arrival tasks. You will greet patients, verify insurance, collect payments, and help prepare admission and discharge documents.

The role emphasizes strong communication, accuracy, and a friendly, patient-focused approach within a full-time, daytime/evening shift schedule. Training is provided for registration procedures and medical terminology.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Less than 1 year of experience (3–6 months) required.
• 6–8 week in-house registration procedures and medical terminology courses required upon hire.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsabilités

• Conduct patient interview to collect registration and financial information.
• Explain financial requirements and collect deposits/deductibles as required.
• Prepare admission and other forms, facilitate room transfers, and prepare reports.
• Verify insurance coverage and credentialing information for patients.
• Assist patients with self-registration and kiosk-based arrivals.
• Provide courteous service and maintain accurate records and receipts.
