Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 1-year experience in a customer service role or health care industry.
• Preferred: working knowledge of Windows, Excel, Word, Outlook, Cerner, EPIC or other EMR system.
• Medical terminology preferred.

Responsibilities

• Register patients in EMR with demographic and financial data.
• Greet customers promptly with a warm and friendly reception.
• Collect and scan required demographic and financial information.
• Direct patients to appropriate setting and explain delays as needed.
• Maintain professionalism and diplomacy per department policy.
• Estimate and collect copays, deductibles, and other patient obligations.
• Operate electronic registration tools where available.
• Perform duties as assigned by management.
