Job summary

McLaren Health Care is seeking a part-time Patient Access Registrar to support timely registration and admission processes. You will perform EMR-based registrations, collect pertinent demographic and financial information, and greet patients with a courteous, professional demeanor.

Responsibilities include collecting data, guiding patients through the process, and ensuring compliance with hospital policies and Meaningful Use requirements.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 1 year experience in customer service or health care.
• Familiar with EMR systems preferred.
• Medical terminology helpful.

Responsibilities

• Register patients in EMR with accurate demographic and financial data.
• Greet customers promptly with a warm, friendly reception.
• Collect, document, and scan required demographic and financial information.
• Direct patients to appropriate settings and explain delays when needed.
• Maintain professionalism and adhere to department standards.
• Estimate and collect copays, deductibles, and other financial obligations.
• Operate within Compliance guidelines and meanings of Use protocols.
• Facilitate use of electronic registration tools (e.g., tablets).
• Perform other duties as assigned by Management.
