Job summary

Responsibilities include registering patients in EMR, collecting demographic and financial data, collecting copays, and guiding patients with empathy and professionalism while adhering to compliance and Meaningful Use guidelines.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 1 year experience in a customer service or health care setting preferred.
• Preferred knowledge of EMR systems such as Cerner or EPIC.

Responsibilities

• Register patients in EMR with demographic and financial data per protocol.
• Greet customers and provide a warm, professional reception.
• Collect, document, and scan required demographic and financial information.
• Direct patients and explain delays with diplomacy and efficiency.
• Estimate and collect copays, deductibles, and other obligations.
• Adhere to Compliance and Meaningful Use requirements; assist with electronic registration tools.
