Job summary

McLaren Health Care is seeking a Patient Access Representative to ensure smooth, timely registration and admission processes. You will collect demographic, clinical, and insurance data, handle co-pays, perform initial financial screening for self-pay patients, and coordinate with Financial Advisors as needed.

You will also greet and assist patients, answer calls, provide wayfinding, and support departmental quality and productivity with accurate data entry and attention to compliance standards.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required, or an Associate's degree with related healthcare experience.
• Minimum 2 years in Patient Access, Customer Service, or Medical work experience, or 2 years with an Associate's and related experience.

Responsibilities

• Handle registration/admission tasks and collect demographics, insurance data, and co-pays.
• Perform initial financial screening for self-pay/out-of-network patients and refer to Financial Advisors as needed.
• Maintain confidentiality and HIPAA compliance; route calls and provide patient wayfinding as required.
• Support department operations and improve quality and productivity within established standards.
