Job summary

Hanger, Inc. seeks a Patient Access Coordinator to greet patients, verify demographics and insurance, schedule appointments, collect payments, and maintain accurate electronic health records in a busy orthotic and prosthetic clinic delivering patient-centered care.

This role requires a high school diploma or equivalent, excellent communication and computer skills, and experience in a front desk or medical office.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Less than one year of customer service/reception experience preferred.
• Experience in a receptionist role or medical front office procedures preferred.
• Must have or be eligible to obtain a valid driver's license and driving record.

Responsibilities

• Greet and assist patients at arrival at the front desk.
• Verify and update patient demographics and insurance during check-in.
• Collect patient payments, including deductibles and copays.
• Coordinate follow-up appointments, cast/measure delivery and prosthetic care plans.
• Serve as liaison for clinic services and patient experience programs.
• Collaborate with Revenue Cycle Management to obtain necessary information.
• Maintain accurate electronic health records for all patients.
