You will explain benefits and patient liability, communicate scheduling changes, and support efficient workflows while upholding our Service Excellence standards.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 1 year of healthcare patient access experience, or 1 year experience in healthcare revenue cycle, or bachelor’s degree.
• Preferred: 2 years of customer service experience and 1 year healthcare experience.

Responsibilities

• Admit and schedule patients, verify insurance coverage and provide financial counseling.
• Communicate scheduling changes to patients, staff, physicians and patient representatives.
• Explain insurance benefits and patient liability.
• Identify payroll authorization and referral requirements for patients.
• Ensure smooth workflow by improving current procedures and reducing errors.
• Escalate issues when needed to resolve problems.
