Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• 2-3 years customer service or medical office experience.
• Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
• Proficiency in computer data-entry/typing.
• Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English.
• Ability to type 40 wpm.
• Ability to multi-task.
• Customer service oriented.
• Excellent organizational, time management, analytical, and problem solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service in a patient-first environment.
• Assist with scheduling and directing patients through NMHC systems.
• Verify insurance eligibility and benefits.
• Collect patient demographic information accurately.
• Maintain patient confidentiality per HIPAA.
• Communicate with physicians' offices and hospital departments.
• Escalate issues to Team Lead as needed.
• Participate in quality assurance and process improvements.
