Job summary

Hanger, Inc. seeks a front desk/receptionist to ensure a seamless patient experience at our Walnut Creek clinic. You will greet patients, verify demographics and insurance, and handle check-ins along with basic payments and scheduling.

Ideal candidates have strong communication skills, basic computer proficiency, and a background in medical front office or customer service. California pay range of $24–$27/hour plus benefits is posted.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Strong communication and computer proficiency preferred.
• Experience in receptionist/medical front office is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Patient Reception: Greet and assist patients on arrival and provide wait-time information.
• Patient Intake: Verify demographics and insurance details at check-in; process walk-ins.
• Financial Transactions: Collect patient payments including deductibles and co-pays.
• Appointment Scheduling: Coordinate follow-up visits, casts, measurements, and prosthetic plans.
• Patient Support: Inform on patient experience programs and available resources.
• Administrative Collaboration: Work with Revenue Cycle Management to obtain patient information.
• Record Maintenance: Maintain accurate electronic health records for all patients.
