Job summary

Hanger, Inc. is seeking a front desk receptionist to ensure a seamless patient experience in our California clinics. You will greet patients, verify demographics, collect payments, and coordinate appointments and prosthetic care plans.

The ideal candidate has strong communication skills and prior medical front office exposure. A valid driver’s license and ability to work with diverse patient populations are required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent combination of education and experience required.
• Talent Sorter assessment may be used in selection; Talent Sorter administered by Hanger.
• Less than one year of customer service, administrative or related experience required.
• Receptionist front office experience preferred / medical front office procedures preferred.
• Valid driver’s license and driving record per Hanger policies.

Responsibilities

• Greet and assist patients at arrival, provide wait time information and inquiries.
• Verify and update patient demographics and insurance during check-in; handle registrations.
• Collect patient payments including deductibles, copays and coinsurance at the front desk.
• Coordinate follow-up appointments, casts, measurements, delivery and prosthetic care plans.
• Serve as liaison for clinic services and patient experience programs and resources.
• Collaborate with Revenue Cycle Management to obtain necessary patient information.
• Maintain accurate electronic health records for all patients.
