Job summary

Ochsner is seeking a Patient Access Supervisor to oversee registration and financial counseling operations across facilities. This role monitors patient flow, staffing, and performance metrics to minimize wait times and improve service quality.

The ideal candidate has 7+ years in hospital or patient access environments and strong leadership, communication, and data analysis skills. A bachelor's degree is preferred; travel between campuses is required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Bachelor's degree preferred for advancement and leadership.
• Minimum 7 years in hospital/clinic/customer service environments or 2 years with a bachelor's degree.

Responsibilities

• Oversees staff performance and productivity and audits to ensure customer service standards.
• Collaborates with leadership to set monthly department goals and initiatives.
• Manages patient flow and adjusts staffing to minimize wait times.
• Facilitates conflict mitigation across departments and removes barriers to performance.
• Schedules staff to ensure coverage and supports training for staff development.
• Ensures compliance with applicable laws and privacy standards.
