Job summary

Beth Israel Lahey Health is seeking a Lead Patient Access Representative to manage staff scheduling, oversee registration and insurance verification, and maintain patient privacy and data integrity. You will coordinate with physicians and departments to ensure efficient service and accurate patient information for medical records and billing.

The role requires at least 3 years in Patient Access, strong communication skills, and the ability to work a 9am–5:30pm M-F schedule in a hospital setting.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• 3 years of experience in Patient Access and/or a Revenue Cycle organization.
• Experience coordinating multiple tasks and working in a fast-paced environment.
• Knowledge of EHR, medical terminology and hospital or physician registration systems preferred.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills and ability to interact with diverse patients.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and modify staff work schedules to ensure adequate coverage.
• Conduct orientation and training of new employees to policies and procedures.
• Assist with performance appraisals and department initiatives communication.
• Ensure compliance with insurance verification procedures and accurate data capture.
• Interview patients to collect necessary personal, social and financial data for medical records and billing.
