Job summary

Jefferson Health in New Jersey is seeking a Patient Access Specialist to provide day-to-day support to Registration staff and ensure a positive patient experience. You will train staff on entering complete orders and insurance information, and coach for quality and compliance using EPIC and Cerner systems.

Responsibilities include ensuring accurate registration, maintaining departmental standards, and backfilling as needed.

Qualifications

• Required High School Diploma or GED AND 3 years of patient registration experience.

Responsibilities

• Interacts with co-workers, visitors, and other staff consistent with the values of Jefferson.
• Ensures timely, efficient, and accurate registration processes are followed by staff.
• Keeps current on insurance tip sheets and workflow updates.
• Distributes work assignments daily and ensures compliance with protocols.
• Backfills for staff during meal breaks and absences as needed.
• Trains new hires to accurately record orders, demographics and insurance information.
