Job summary

Jefferson Health Plans is seeking a Patient Access Representative to support outpatient services in Turnersville, NJ. You will register patients, verify insurance, collect demographic data, and determine eligibility using Real Time Eligibility, Phreesia, and payer portals.

The role requires strong communication, attention to detail, and experience in healthcare front-desk operations, including completing the MSPQ for Medicare patients and obtaining referrals and authorizations when needed.

Qualifications

• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Knowledge of medical terminology and third-party insurance coverage.
• Familiar with EPIC, Cerner and Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Interacts with co-workers, visitors, and other staff consistent with the values of Jefferson.
• Gathers accurate demographic information to identify Jefferson patients with or without a medical record number.
• Requests photo ID and insurance cards, scanning copies.
• Records complete demographic and insurance information and interviews patients as needed.
