Job summary

Qualifications

• Required High School Diploma or GED AND 3 years of patient registration experience
• Previous experience in a physician’s office or hospital registration setting preferred
• Knowledge of patient registration, third-party insurance coverage, benefits, authorizations/referrals

Responsibilities

• Trains all new hires to accurately record orders, demographic and insurance information
• Distributes work assignments daily and QA's a sample of registrations for accuracy
• Coaches staff on workflow changes and quality errors, provides feedback for improvement
• Backfills for staff during meal breaks and PTO/ETO or unplanned absences
• Maintains timely, efficient, and accurate registration processes across Patient Access
• Interacts professionally with patients, families, coworkers, clinical and leadership
• Rotates assignments across Outpatient Registration and Emergency Department
