Job summary

Lutheran Health Network is seeking a Registrar Lead to oversee patient registration, verify demographics and insurance, and ensure compliant, efficient intake at the point of service.

The role serves as a lead resource for registration staff, providing guidance, training, and support while partnering with management on daily operations and quality assurance initiatives to improve patient access.

Qualifications

• Post secondary education in medical office administration or healthcare administration preferred.
• 2-4 years of healthcare experience including patient registration, scheduling, or front desk/admissions.
• 2-4 years of customer service experience required.
• Previous lead or supervisory experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Leads, mentors, and supports the registration team, ensuring training and efficient workflow.
• Verifies patient demographics and insurance information with courtesy and professionalism.
• Ensures accurate data entry in registration systems and collects consent/authorization forms.
• Reviews insurance eligibility responses and captures accurate information for the service rendered.
• Audits registration records for accuracy and assists in correcting errors.
• Provides on-the-job training and coaching to registrars on policies, processes, and requirements.
• Requests and collects patient payments and counsels on financial obligations.
• Notifies related departments of patient arrivals and registration status.
• Resolves registration and insurance issues and escalates complex concerns as needed.
• Supports leadership with reporting and special projects.
