Qualifications

• Post secondary education in medical office administration or healthcare administration preferred.
• 2–4 years of experience in healthcare including patient registration, scheduling, or front desk/admissions required.
• 2–4 years of experience in customer service required.
• Previous team lead or supervisory experience, or demonstrated leadership preferred.

Responsibilities

• Leads, mentors, and supports the registration team with training and workflow.
• Obtains and verifies patient demographic and insurance information professionally.
• Enters patient data accurately into the registration system and handles consent forms.
• Reviews insurance eligibility responses and captures accurate insurance details.
• Audits registrations and assists in correcting errors.
• Provides on-the-job training and coaching to registrars.
• Notifies departments of patient arrivals and registration status.
• Assists with quality assurance and process improvements.
• Supports leadership with reporting and special projects.
• Performs other duties and maintains regular attendance.
