Job summary

Qualifications

• Post secondary education or training in medical office administration or healthcare administration preferred.
• 0-2 years of experience in a healthcare setting including patient registration, medical office scheduling, or front desk/admissions required.
• 0-2 years of experience in a customer service role preferred.

Responsibilities

• Interact with patients and families to answer questions with courteous, timely assistance.
• Regulate schedules based on procedure requirements and physician availability.
• Pre-register scheduled patients by obtaining accurate demographic information.
• Verify insurance eligibility and capture health insurance details.
• Collect and record patient financial responsibility estimates as applicable.
• Maintain complete and organized registration documentation for patient records.
