Job summary

AdaptHealth, LLC is seeking an Intake Specialist to support patient access by coordinating referrals, reviewing clinical documentation, and ensuring services are set up accurately and efficiently.

You will work with patients, providers, referral sources, and internal teams to navigate insurance requirements, confirm eligibility, and move the intake process forward smoothly in a fast-paced healthcare environment.

Qualifications

• One year of relatable work experience required.
• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Healthcare administration, business administration or related field preferred.
• Experience in management, administrative, clerical, insurance, billing, claims, or customer service is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Review medical records, clinical documentation, and payer guidelines to determine patient eligibility and qualification status.
• Communicate with patients regarding financial responsibility and document interactions.
• Coordinate with referral sources, physicians, and clinical teams to obtain complete documentation.
• Enter referrals in EMR and ensure timely processing within productivity and quality standards.
