Job summary

AdaptHealth is seeking an Intake Specialist to coordinate referrals, review clinical documentation, and ensure services are set up accurately and efficiently. You will work with patients, providers, referral sources, and internal teams to navigate insurance requirements and confirm eligibility, driving the intake process forward.

Qualifications

• 1 year of relatable work experience required.
• High School Diploma or Associate degree in Healthcare Administration or related field.
• Experience in administrative, clerical, insurance, billing, claims, call center, or customer service preferred.
• Healthcare organization experience is a plus but not required.

Responsibilities

• Review medical records and payer guidelines to determine eligibility and compliance.
• Communicate with patients about financial responsibility and document interactions.
• Coordinate with referral sources and clinical teams to obtain complete documentation.
• Enter referrals within established timeframes while meeting productivity and quality standards.
• Support team operations and follow company policies.
