AdaptHealth is seeking an Intake Specialist to support patient access to care by coordinating referrals, reviewing documentation, and ensuring services are set up accurately and efficiently.

You’ll work closely with patients, providers, referral sources, and internal teams to navigate insurance requirements, confirm eligibility, and move the intake process forward smoothly. This role is ideal for detail-oriented collaborators in a fast-paced healthcare setting.

Qualifications

• One year of relatable work experience required.
• Excellent verbal and written communication with strong attention to detail.
• Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and healthcare systems is a plus.
• Ability to learn new technologies and navigate multiple systems.

Responsibilities

• Review referrals, payer guidelines, and documentation to determine eligibility.
• Communicate with patients regarding financial responsibility and collect payments when applicable.
• Coordinate with referral sources, physicians, and clinical teams to obtain complete documentation.
• Enter referrals within established timeframes while meeting productivity and quality standards.
• Support intake processes across teams to ensure timely care delivery.
• Navigate multiple EMR and online systems to obtain and manage documentation.
• Assist in on-call rotations as required by policy.
