AdaptHealth is seeking an Intake Specialist to coordinate referrals, review clinical documentation, and ensure services are set up accurately and efficiently. You will work with patients, providers, referral sources, and internal teams to navigate insurance requirements and ensure timely care.

This role emphasizes attention to detail, patient communication, and cross-team collaboration in a fast-paced healthcare environment.

Qualifications

• One year of relatable work experience required.
• Healthcare administration, insurance, billing, or call center experience is a plus.
• Excellent verbal and written communication with analytical, problem-solving and attention to detail.

Responsabilités

• Review medical records and payer guidelines to determine eligibility and compliance prior to service delivery.
• Communicate with patients about financial responsibilities and document interactions accurately.
• Contact patients when documentation does not meet payer requirements and provide alternatives.
• Collaborate with referral sources, physicians, and clinical teams to obtain complete documentation.
• Demonstrate expert knowledge of payer requirements to ensure compliant services.
• Enter referrals within established timeframes and maintain timely documentation.
