AdaptHealth is seeking an Intake Specialist to coordinate referrals, review clinical records, and ensure services are set up accurately. You will work with patients, providers, and internal teams to navigate insurance requirements and verify eligibility, moving the intake process forward efficiently.

Qualifications

• One year of relatable work experience required.
• High School Diploma; Associate’s degree in Healthcare Administration or related field preferred.
• Experience in administrative, insurance, billing, or customer service is valued.
• Healthcare environment experience is a plus but not required.
• Excellent verbal and written communication with attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Review medical records and payer guidelines to determine eligibility and compliance.
• Communicate with patients about financial responsibilities and collect payments when applicable.
• Coordinate with referral sources and clinical teams to obtain complete documentation.
• Enter referrals timely within established timeframes and maintain accurate records.
• Support intake operations across departments and participate in on-call rotations.
