Baylor Scott & White Health is hiring an Access Services Representative 2 to collect patient demographics and insurance information, verify benefits, and collect patient financial responsibilities. The role crosses multiple areas and may include mentoring peers.

Expect cross-training, involvement in revenue cycle processes, and a focus on accurate data entry and professional patient interactions in a healthcare setting.

Qualifications

• 2 years of healthcare or customer service experience or education equivalency required.
• Good listening, interpersonal and communication skills, and professional, pleasant telephone etiquette.
• Professional demeanor in stressful environments including crisis and patient trauma.
• High empathy and ability to communicate with patients and families during trauma with strong customer service.
• Ability to manage multiple, changing priorities in an organized manner.
• Excellent data entry, numeric, typing and computer navigational skills.
• Basic computer skills and Microsoft Office.

Responsabilités

• Conducts patient interviews to obtain demographic and financial data for registration and billing.
• Verifies patient eligibility for insurance coverage and calculates patient liability.
• Provide directions, escort, and mobility assistance to patients; escalate issues to management.
• Support multiple areas/locations with revenue cycle duties as needed.
• Train and mentor peers in processes and compliance.
