Job summary

Hanger, Inc. in Orange Park, FL seeks a Patient Access Coordinator to ensure a seamless patient experience at the front desk. You will greet patients, verify demographics, handle registrations, collect payments, and coordinate follow-up appointments for prosthetic care.

The role requires strong communication, computer proficiency, and prior front desk or medical office experience. A valid driver’s license is preferred and local travel may be required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Less than one year of customer service or related experience preferred.
• Experience in a receptionist position or medical front office procedures preferred.
• Must have or be eligible for a valid driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Greet and assist patients upon arrival and provide wait time information.
• Verify and update patient demographics and insurance during check-in.
• Collect patient payments (deductibles, copays, coinsurance) at the front desk.
• Coordinate follow-up appointments, including cast/measure delivery and prosthetic care plans.
• Serve as liaison for clinic services and patient experience programs.
• Collaborate with the Revenue Cycle Management team to obtain patient information.
• Maintain accurate electronic health records for all patients.
