Job summary

Hanger, Inc. is seeking a friendly front desk receptionist who will help ensure a smooth patient flow in our clinic. You will greet patients, collect insurance and demographic information, and support the front desk with daily administrative tasks.

The role requires strong communication skills and basic computer proficiency. A valid driver’s license and the ability to work in a fast-paced healthcare environment are important for success.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Less than one year of customer service or related experience.
• Experience in a receptionist role or medical front office preferred.
• Must have or be eligible for a valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Greet and assist patients at the front desk, provide wait-time information and answer inquiries.
• Verify and update patient demographics and insurance details at check-in; handle walk-in registrations.
• Collect patient payments, including deductibles, copays, and coinsurance at the front desk.
• Coordinate follow-up appointments, including cast/measure, delivery, and prosthetic care plans.
• Serve as a liaison for clinic services, sharing information on patient experience programs and resources.
• Collaborate with the Revenue Cycle Management (RCM) team to obtain necessary patient information.
• Maintain accurate and complete electronic health records for all patients.
