Job summary

Cleveland Clinic Lakewood Family Health Center seeks a friendly Patient Service Specialist to welcome patients, collect co-pays, and prep visits. You will assist with scheduling, MyChart enrollment, and kiosk use, coordinating with physicians for a smooth checkout.

This role offers growth across Cleveland Clinic in a patient‑centered environment. Responsibilities include patient registration, insurance verification, and scheduling, with rotating day/evening/weekend shifts.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED and two years of experience in patient registration, appointment scheduling, insurance processing or customer service
• OR an Associate’s Degree and one year of experience
• OR a Bachelor’s Degree
• Working knowledge of PC window applications
• Ability to perform basic math sufficient to process insurance co-pays

Responsibilities

• Welcome and check in patients, collect co-pays, complete visit preparations, assist with kiosk use
• Support patients with scheduling, pre-registration and MyChart enrollment
• Partner with physicians to ensure smooth checkout
• Perform patient registration, visit preparation, telephone triage, insurance verification, co-pay collection, scheduling, arrival/departure desk activities and interpreter services as needed
• Enter and maintain confidential patient information
• Recruit, enroll and educate patients on MyChart and Appointment Pass
