Job summary

Cleveland Clinic Lakewood Family Health Center is seeking a part-time Patient Service Specialist to support patient registration, scheduling and financial counseling in a fast-paced ambulatory setting. You will engage patients from arrival through departure, assist with insurance verification and co-pay collection, and promote MyChart usage for streamlined care.

Qualifications

Demonstrated experience in providing exceptional customer services and conflict resolution.
Knowledge of medical terminology is preferred.
Ability to type a minimum of 30 words per minute.

Responsibilities

Provide a comprehensive, proactive and “Patients First” experience for patients and visitors.
Investigate, triage and resolve patient issues using HEART model.
Capture and verify referrals, insurance coverage and physician data.
Perform patient registration, visit preparation, telephone triage, insurance verification, co-pay collection, and scheduling.
Introduce and educate patients on MyChart and Appointment Pass.
Conduct follow-ups to MyChart and web appointment inquiries.
Maintain measured performance in quality, patient experience, and first call resolution.
Generate staff provider schedules and relay staff messaging.
Travel to support patient care in various locations as needed.
