Job summary

Hanger, Inc. is seeking a front desk receptionist to ensure a seamless patient experience. You will greet patients, gather demographics and insurance information, and support scheduling and payments at the front desk.

The ideal candidate will have strong communication, computer skills, and experience in medical front office procedures. A valid driver’s license may be required by the clinic’s policy.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Less than one year of customer service or admin experience preferred.
• Experience in a receptionist role or medical front office procedures preferred.
• Must have or be eligible to obtain a valid driver’s license and driving record.

Responsibilities

• Greet and assist patients at the front desk, provide information on wait times and respond to inquiries.
• Verify and update patient demographics and insurance details during check-in; handle walk-in registrations.
• Collect patient payments including deductibles, copays, and coinsurance at the front desk.
• Coordinate follow-up appointments including cast and measure, delivery, and prosthetic care plans.
• Serve as a liaison for clinic services and patient experience programs and resources.
• Collaborate with the Revenue Cycle Management team to obtain necessary patient information.
• Maintain accurate electronic health records for all patients.
