AdaptHealth, LLC is seeking an Intake Specialist to support patient access to care by coordinating referrals, reviewing clinical documentation, and ensuring services are set up accurately and efficiently.

You will work with patients, providers and internal teams to navigate insurance requirements, confirm eligibility, and move the intake process forward smoothly. This role suits detail-oriented, collaborative professionals in a fast-paced healthcare environment.

Qualifications

• One year of relatable work experience required.
• High School Diploma or Associate’s degree or equivalent in a related field.
• Experience in management, administrative, clerical, insurance, or customer service preferred.
• Healthcare environment experience is a plus but not required.

Responsibilities

• Review referrals and patient information to determine eligibility and set up services.
• Communicate financial responsibilities with patients and document interactions.
• Coordinate with referral sources, physicians, and internal teams to obtain complete documentation.
• Navigate multiple EMR and online systems to manage referrals and intake processes.
• Answer calls and provide professional assistance to patients and referral sources.
