Job summary

AdaptHealth is seeking an Intake Specialist to support patient access to care by coordinating referrals, reviewing clinical documentation, and ensuring services are set up accurately and efficiently. You will navigate insurance requirements, confirm eligibility, and move intake forward with patients, providers, and internal teams.

Qualifications

• 1 year of relatable work experience required.
• High School Diploma or Associate’s degree in relatable field or Healthcare Administration.
• Experience in management, administrative, clerical, insurance, billing, claims, call center, or customer service is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Review medical records, payer guidelines to determine eligibility and compliance prior to service delivery.
• Communicate with patients regarding financial responsibility and document interactions accurately.
• Contact patients when documentation does not meet payer requirements and provide alternatives to support timely care.
