Job summary

AdaptHealth LLC seeks an Intake Specialist to support patient access by coordinating referrals, reviewing documentation, and ensuring accurate setup of services. You’ll work with patients, providers, and internal teams to navigate insurance requirements and confirm eligibility.

The role rewards detail-oriented work, teamwork in a fast-paced healthcare setting, and accurate documentation across EMR systems. Prior admin experience in healthcare is preferred.

Qualifications

• One year of relatable work experience is required.
• High school diploma or equivalent; healthcare admin experience is a plus.
• Experience in admin, clerical, insurance, billing, or call center is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Review referrals and clinical documentation for completeness and eligibility.
• Coordinate with patients, providers, and internal teams to schedule intake and services.
• Communicate financial responsibilities and collect applicable payments.
• Enter referrals in EMR and track documentation to ensure compliance.
• Support cross‑functional teams to maintain accurate patient records.
