Job summary

AdaptHealth is seeking an Intake Specialist to support patient access by coordinating referrals, reviewing documentation, and ensuring services are set up accurately and efficiently. You’ll work closely with patients, providers, and internal teams to navigate insurance requirements and verify eligibility in a fast-paced healthcare environment.

Qualifications

• One year of relatable work experience required.
• Excellent verbal and written communication with attention to detail.
• Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficient computer skills; healthcare systems are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Review medical records and payer guidelines to determine eligibility and compliance prior to service delivery.
• Communicate with patients regarding financial responsibility and document interactions accurately.
• Coordinate with referral sources, physicians, and clinical teams to obtain complete documentation.
• Enter referrals within established timeframes while meeting productivity and quality standards.
• Navigate multiple EMR and online systems to manage documentation.
