Job summary

AdaptHealth LLC is seeking an Intake Specialist to support patient access to care by coordinating referrals, reviewing clinical docs, and ensuring services are set up accurately.

You will work with patients, providers, and internal teams to navigate payer requirements, confirm eligibility, and move intake forward efficiently in a fast-paced healthcare setting.

One year of related experience is required; a diploma or associate degree in a related field is preferred.

Qualifications

• One year of relatable work experience required.
• High school diploma or associate degree in healthcare/admin.
• Experience in admin, insurance, billing, or call center preferred.
• Excellent verbal and written communication with attention to detail.
• Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office and healthcare systems.

Responsibilities

• Review medical records and payer guidelines to determine eligibility.
• Communicate with patients regarding financial responsibility and collect payments.
• Coordinate referrals and documentation with providers and internal teams.
• Enter referrals within established timeframes.
• Support inventory and service scheduling with leadership.
• Navigate multiple EMR and online systems for documentation.
• Answer incoming calls and assist patients and referral sources.
