Job summary

Hanger, Inc. in Reno, NV is seeking a Patient Access Coordinator to manage front desk operations, patient check-in, and care coordination. You will greet patients, verify demographics and insurance, collect payments, and schedule follow-ups for prosthetic services.

The role requires strong communication and computer skills, with experience in medical front office procedures preferred. This is a full-time, location-specific position in a medical clinic setting.

Qualifications

• Must have strong interpersonal, oral and written communication skills.
• Capacity to type ~30 wpm with accuracy.
• Knowledge of medical reimbursement and front office duties is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Greet and assist patients at arrival, manage front desk inquiries and wait times.
• Verify and update patient demographics and insurance during check-in; handle registrations.
• Process patient payments (deductibles, copays, coinsurance) at the front desk.
• Schedule follow-up appointments including cast, measurements, and prosthetic care plans.
• Serve as liaison for clinic services and patient experience programs.
• Collaborate with Revenue Cycle Management to obtain necessary patient information.
• Maintain accurate electronic health records for all patients.
