Job summary

Hanger, Inc. is seeking a front desk receptionist to ensure a seamless patient experience at the clinic entrance. You will greet patients, verify demographics and insurance, and collect payments while coordinating follow-up appointments for prosthetic care and related services.

The role requires strong communication skills, basic computer proficiency, and a courteous, patient-centered approach in a fast-paced medical front office setting.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent combination of education and experience required.
• Less than one year of customer service, administrative or related experience required.
• Experience in a receptionist position or medical front office procedures preferred.
• Must have, or be eligible to obtain, a valid driver’s license and driving record within policy.

Responsibilities

• Greet and assist patients upon arrival, providing information on wait times.
• Verify and update patient demographics and insurance details during check-in; handle walk-in registrations.
• Collect patient payments, including deductibles, copays, and co-insurance at the front desk.
• Coordinate follow-up appointments, including cast and measure, delivery, and prosthetic care plans.
• Serve as a liaison for clinic services, offering information on patient experience programs, support groups, and resources.
• Collaborate with the Revenue Cycle Management team to obtain necessary patient information.
• Ensure accurate and complete electronic health records for all patients.
