Job summary

Virginia Mason Franciscan Health is seeking a Patient Access Representative to manage patient intake, front-desk duties, and insurance verification in our clinic. You will check patients in/out, collect payments, and ensure accurate demographics and insurance data are entered into the electronic medical record.

You will also schedule appointments, coordinate referrals/pre-authorizations, and answer patient questions about billing and plan coverage.

Qualifications

• One year of customer service work experience.
• Healthcare or Call Center experience is preferred.
• Knowledge of insurance, billing, and medical terminology.

Responsibilities

• Register and check patients in/out.
• Handle front-end registration, verify demographics and insurance, and record payments.
• Schedule appointments and manage referrals and authorizations; communicate plan policies to patients.
