Job summary

Corewell Health is seeking a full-time Patient Access Associate in Ludington, MI. The role involves greeting patients, registering and scheduling, and maintaining accurate demographics and insurance information.

Responsibilities include using the EHR to document calls and reminders, assisting with arrivals and follow-ups, and supporting safety initiatives across the unit. Prior experience in insurance billing or patient financial services is preferred.

Qualifications

• Required: High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Preferred: 1 year of relevant experience in insurance billing, access management, patient financial services, electronic health records, lab service support or related fields.

Responsibilities

• Serves as a concierge - greets and communicates with patients or visitors.
• Performs clerical duties including answering practice phone calls, scheduling patient appointments, ordering supplies, generating patient letters, and processing registrations.
• Registers patients, confirms demographic and insurance information, assists with self-registration, and schedules follow-up appointments.
• Maintains patient medical records according to standards and uploads documents into the EHR.
• Participates in safety initiatives and completes required safety competencies and requirements.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
