Job summary

Corewell Health is seeking a Patient Access role at our Grand Rapids site. You will greet patients, guide them through registration and check-in, verify demographics and insurance, and support scheduling and registration tasks within the EMR/EHR system.

Responsibilities include maintaining records, handling patient communications via phone, chat, or email, and contributing to safety and quality initiatives while supporting a seamless patient experience.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Preferred 1 year of experience in insurance billing, access management, patient financial services, EHR, or related fields.
• Experience with EPIC/EMR systems is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Serves as a concierge, greeting patients or visitors.
• Answers practice calls, schedules appointments, and handles mail and supply deliveries.
• Registers patients, checks in/out, and verifies demographics and insurance.
• Maintains medical records and uploads documents into the EMR/EHR system.
• Participates in safety initiatives and compliance requirements.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
