Job summary

UMass Memorial Health is seeking a caregiver-facing team member to greet patients, verify demographics and insurance, collect co-pays, and obtain consent forms for treatment. The role includes coordinating financial counseling and interpreter services as needed within a busy clinical setting.

Ideal candidates will have a High School Diploma, strong communication skills, and the ability to work well under pressure. A signing bonus may be available and is discussed during interview.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma is required.
• Associate's or Bachelor's degree preferred.

Responsibilities

• Greets visitors and/or patients for scheduled and/or urgent care appointments and procedures.
• Verifies patient demographic and insurance information.
• May collect co-payments from patients upon arrival.
• Obtains signatures of consent for treatment and insurance/billing information.
• Assesses patients' needs and refers to appropriate services (financial counseling, interpreter services, social services).
