Job summary

UMass Memorial Health is seeking a friendly Physician Concierge Services professional to support physician offices and patients. You will schedule outpatient appointments, coordinate referrals, and maintain accurate patient information across the care network.

Role requires two to three years in a healthcare setting, strong medical terminology knowledge, and excellent customer service skills. The position offers a structured schedule, with a standard weekday shift and potential signing bonus

Qualifications

• Two to three years' experience in a physician office or health care setting.
• Knowledge of medical terminology, medical specialties and general patterns of patient care.
• Requires good working knowledge of customer relations/customer service.
• Strong oral, written and interpersonal communication; proficient with word processing and spreadsheets/databases.

Responsibilities

• Provides enhanced customer service support to physician offices in assigned territories.
• Ensures patient appointments are scheduled with the appropriate provider, location and timeframe.
• Escalates access and service issues to leadership to ensure satisfaction.
• Builds relationships with community-based providers to increase network participation.
• Answers calls on the 1-800-431-5151 line professionally to uphold UMass Memorial Health image.
