Intermountain Health is seeking a Patient Service Representative to be the first connection with patients, delivering courteous service and resolving intake and care needs. This role emphasizes collaboration with caregivers and accurate EMR documentation.

Responsibilities include greeting and checking-in/out patients, scheduling visits, verifying demographics, handling insurance information, and guiding patients through billing and financial assistance processes.

Qualifications

• Six months of customer service experience.
• Basic computer skills (word processing and data entry).
• Professional manner and strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively with patients and fellow caregivers.
• Ability to protect privacy and PHI.

Responsabilités

• Provides courteous and professional connections with patients by phone, in person or secure messaging to resolve needs related to intake and care.
• Documents all interactions accurately in the EMR.
• Schedules patient appointments for visits, procedures, tests, referrals or consultations.
• Registers patients, confirms/updates demographic data in the registration system.
• Obtains copies of insurance cards/IDs and handles forms as needed.
• Assists patients with necessary forms for regulatory and billing needs and educates on financial assistance.
