Job summary

Intermountain Health in Denver today seeks a Patient Service Representative to be the first connection with patients, providing courteous, professional service and routing inquiries in a secure EMR-enabled environment.

You will greet and check-in/out patients, verify information, and schedule appointments while collecting demographics and assisting with billing and insurance paperwork in a fast-paced clinic.

Qualifications

• Six months of customer service experience.
• Basic computer skills including word processing and data entry.
• Professional demeanor and strong interpersonal and communication abilities.
• Ability to protect privacy, confidentiality, and PHI of patients.

Responsibilities

• Greet and check-in/out patients, and resolve needs to ensure high-quality patient experience.
• Document all phone calls and interactions in the EMR.
• Schedule patient appointments for visits, procedures, tests, referrals, and consultations.
• Register patients by confirming and updating demographic data in registration systems.
• Obtain copies of insurance cards and IDs; verify information for insurance coordination.
• Assist patients with forms for regulatory and billing needs; educate on financial assistance; process payments.
• Stay updated on responsibilities via communications and dashboards to maintain high performance.
