Intermountain Health Garfield Memorial Hospital seeks a Part-time Patient Service Representative to be the first point of contact for patients. You will assist with check-in/out, verify information, and guide patients through registration and billing processes.

You will responsibly document calls in the EMR, schedule appointments, collect payments, and help patients understand financial assistance options while maintaining privacy and high service standards.

Qualifikationen

• Six months of customer service experience.
• Basic computer skills (word processing and data entry).
• Professional manner and strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to protect PHI and patient privacy.

• Greets and checks-in/out patients and verifies information to ensure smooth intake.
• Documents phone calls and encounters in the EMR accurately.
• Schedules appointments for visits, tests, and referrals.
• Registers patients by updating demographic data on the system.
• Obtains insurance cards/IDs and signatures; verifies benefits and pre-authorization when needed.
• Assists patients with regulatory and billing forms and educates about financial assistance; collects payments.
• Stays current on duties via emails, dashboards, and meetings to maintain service quality.
