  • Six months of customer service experience with customers.
  • Basic computer skills including word processing and data entry.
  • Professional manner and strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with patients and caregivers.
  • Protect privacy and PHI of patients and customers.

Responsibilities

  • Provides courteous connections with patients by phone, in person or via secure messaging.
  • Documents calls accurately in the EMR.
  • Schedules appointments for visits, tests, referrals and consultations.
  • Registers patients and verifies demographics and information.
  • Collects insurance information, handles forms, and assists with billing needs.
  • Educates patients on financial assistance and processes payments.
  • Keeps up to date with role responsibilities and clinic communications.
