Intermountain Health in St George, Utah is seeking a Patient Service Representative to be the first point of contact for patients. The role focuses on establishing collaborative relationships to deliver top-tier customer/patient satisfaction and to resolve needs related to intake and care.

Responsibilities include greeting and checking in/out patients, verifying information, and supporting billing and insurance processes. Strong communication and PHI protection are essential.

Formación

• Six months of customer service experience involving interactions with customers.
• Basic computer skills involving word processing and data entry.
• Professional manner and strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to protect privacy and PHI of patients, members, and caregivers.

Responsabilidades

• Provide courteous connections with patients by phone, in person, or via secure messaging and resolve needs related to intake and care.
• Document all calls accurately in the EMR.
• Schedule appointments for visits, procedures, tests, referrals, and consultations.
• Register patients by confirming and updating demographic data in the registration system.
• Obtain insurance cards, IDs, and signatures; verify COB or prior authorization as needed.
• Assist patients with forms for regulatory and billing needs; educate on financial assistance; process payments.
• Stay current on responsibilities and participate in meetings to maintain high performance.
