Job summary

Intermountain Health seeks an organized Patient Service Representative to be the first point of contact for patients. You will handle intake, check-in/out, and data verification to ensure a smooth patient experience across McKay-Dee and Layton hospital sites.

You will schedule visits, assist with insurance coordination, collect payments, and document details in the EMR. A compassionate, professional demeanor and strong communication are essential to success in this role.

Qualifications

• Six months of customer service experience involving interactions with customers.
• Demonstrated basic computer skills involving word processing and data entry.
• Professional manner and strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to protect privacy, confidentiality, and PHI of patients, members and caregivers.

Responsibilities

• Greet and check-in/out patients and verify information as needed.
• Schedule appointments, procedures, and referrals in the system.
• Register patients by confirming and updating demographic data in the registration EMR system.
• Verify insurance information and obtain signatures on required forms.
• Educate patients on financial responsibilities and collect payments per policy.
