Job summary

Penn Medicine is seeking a Patient Services Associate to support patient access across locations. This role focuses on patient intake, registration, scheduling, and handling calls while ensuring a courteous, efficient patient experience.

The PSA will assist in maintaining high-quality care, manage payments and insurance information, and coordinate appointments in our EMR system. Flexibility with rotating shifts may be required.

Qualifications

• 2+ years medical office experience.
• 2 years of customer service experience.
• Associate of Arts or Science preferred if experience is equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Assist in maintaining a patient/customer focus and support high-quality care.
• Handle patient intake, registration, and scheduling processes.
• Manage incoming calls, messages, and EMR data entry.
• Collect copays and verify insurance information during check-out.
• Coordinate patient appointments and update records in EMR.
• Ensure compliance with applicable regulatory standards.
